Ethan Hawke is known as one of the more versatile actors in Hollywood.  That diversity of talents does not stop on the screen however as he is also an accomplished author.

This Saturday, Hawke will be at North Central College outside Chicago to discuss his latest book, "Indeh: A Story of the Apache Wars".  The 240-page novel takes readers back to a time when an iconic group of people roamed the American West.

Hawke will be appearing at the school's Wentz Concert Hall along with the book's illustrator Greg Ruth from 5:30-7 p.m.  A ticket to attend along with a copy of the book is $24.

Hawke has been nominated for four Academy Awards and a Tony.  His acting breakthrough came in 1989 in the drama "Dead Poets Society".

Since his beginnings in entertainment, Hawke has diversified.  He has directed two feature films and garnered acclaim for his skills as a screenwriter.

An active philanthropist, Hawke has long supported the Doe Fund, an organization that helps the homeless with housing and employment.  Last month, he was also named to the Board of Trustees for the New York Public Library.
