Bestselling Author Glennon Doyle Melton Named Keynote Speaker at Alpha Sigma Alpha Convention

Alpha Sigma Alpha has selected one of the world's most successful female writers to speak on the opening night of their National Convention and Leadership Conference.  New York Times bestselling author Glennon Doyle Melton will address the crowd assembled at the Hyatt Regency in Orlando, Florida on July 6th.

They are calling the conference #Imagine2016.  Registration for the event which runs through July 9th will open in February 

This year marks the 49th anniversary of the conference. It will feature workshops and breakout sessions that focus on personal development in addition to Doyle Melton's keynote.

Doyle Melton landed on the bestseller list for her book, "Carry On, Warrior: The Power of Embracing Your Messy, Beautiful Life".  The book was won the Books for a Better Life Best Relationship Award in 2013 and was a finalist for Best Memoir and Autobiography at the Goodreads Choice Awards 

Her personal essays began to go viral several years ago and she contributes regularly to The Huffington Post among other publications.  Many of Doyle Melton's thoughts can be found in the online community she founded in 2009, Momastrey.com.  

Doyle Melton is also the creator and president of the non-profit charity Together Rising.  She overcame battles with bulimia, addiction, and a mental hospital stay as an adolescent to build a successful life and career.
