Moshe Safdie is certainly an expert when it comes to the world of architecture.  That firsthand experience lends great credibility to his appearance as commencement speaker at Boston Architectural College.

The ceremony will take place on May 20th beginning at 1 p.m.  It will take place at Boston's historic Old South Church.

Graduates are required to get there for the commencement at 11 a.m.  Only RSVP'd guests will be allowed to attend.

Safdie has had a career spanning over 50 years and is in constant pursuit of the socially responsible design.  He is well known for the first project he built, Habitat '67 in Montreal, Canada.

The plan was modeled after his architectural thesis that he developed before graduating from Montreal's McGill University in 1964.  It was developed for the 1967 World's Fair and still stands as a landmark.

For his efforts with Habitat '67, Safdie was named Construction Man of the Year by the Engineering News Record and won the Massey Medal for Architecture in Canada.  Since then, he has taught architecture techniques and designed buildings around the world.
