Columbia College Selects Morgan Stanley Executive Carla Harris as Commencement Speaker

One of the most successful female financial executives in the world is coming to Columbia College to speak.  Morgan Stanley Vice Chairman, Wealth Management, Managing Director and Senior Client Advisor Carla Harris will be commencement speaker on April 30th.

The event will be held beginning at 10:00 a.m. at The Township Auditorium.  Guests are limited for the ceremony.

Tickets will be distributed to graduates and are required to gain admittance to commencement.  Harris can discuss in depth her road to success against the odds. 

Harris originally joined Morgan Stanley in 1987.  She came to the company after receiving a bachelor's degree in economics and an MBA from Harvard University.

Currently, Harris is instrumental in increasing client connectivity to enhance revenue generation across Morgan Stanley.  In 2013, she was also appointed the chair of the National Business Women's Council.  

There are numerous prestigious lists Harris has been included on including Fortune's ranking of "The 50 Most Powerful Black Executives in Corporate America".  Outside of the business world, she is an accomplished gospel singer who has released three CDs.
