Comedian Amy Schumer Holds Philadelphia Book Event August 17th

Fans in the Philadelphia area of the wildly popular comedian Amy Schumer get a unique opportunity next Wednesday.  She will be in town for a book signing and question and answer session. 

The event will be held at the Free Library of Philadelphia's Central Branch at noon.  Schumer will sign copies of her new memoir, "The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo".  

Tickets are $28 and include a copy of the book that will be released the day before the signing.  It is expected to fill up fast and doors open at 10:30 for first come, first serve seating. 

Schumer is best known for her Comedy Central series, "Inside Amy Schumer".  The show debuted in 2013 and has racked up five Primetime Emmy nominations to date. 

In 2015, it won the Emmy for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series.  The same year, Schumer was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in the film, "Trainwreck".  

Schumer rode the wave of her 2015 popularity to a spot on Time's list of the 100 most influential people in the world.  She also landed on Barbara Walters' 10 Most Fascinating People ranking for the year.
