Country Singer-Songwriter Scotty McCreery Holds Book Signing in Hometown Next Month

Scotty McCreery fans are anxiously awaiting the release of his autobiography on May 3rd.  Some of his most devoted supporters certainly inhabit McCreery's hometown of Garner, North Carolina.

Following the release of "Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Towards the Dream", he will be making a book signing stop back home on May 14th.  McCreery will sign at First Baptist Church in Garner.

That day is also being designated as Scotty McCreery Day in the city.  In addition to signing, there is the chance that he will also hold an impromptu mini-concert at the event. 

McCreery catapulted to fame after winning season ten of American Idol.  He was recently one of the featured performers at the show's series finale.

After leaving Idol, McCreery became an instant success.  His debut album "Clear as Day" was certified platinum in the U.S. and it produced two top 20 country hits. 

In 2012, McCreery was nominated for "Top New Artist" and "Best Country Album" at the Billboard Music Awards.  His 2013 single "See You Tonight" also reached the top ten on Billboard's country chart.
