For her roots in the 1970's disco explosion and success in the music world after, Grace Jones is adored worldwide.  On Friday, she appeared in front of hundreds of fans for a book signing in Paris.

Jones signed the French version of her memoir, "I'll Never Write My Memoirs", at department store Le Bon Marche.  It was the conclusion of the weeklong promotional tour in Paris.

In addition to the fans, several friends also came to the signing to show their support.  Her memoir is already sold out in several countries.

Jones originally made her foray into showbiz as a model, working the Paris runways and appearing on the covers of Elle, Vogue, and Stern.  Her first album, "Portfolio", was released in 1977.

Five songs in Jones' career reached Top 40 on the UK Singles Chart.  Her 1983 "One Man Show" music video was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Long-Form Music Video.

Jones also had an acting career, making a breakthrough with the 1980's hits "Conan the Destroyer" and "A View to a Kill".  In 1999, VH1 named her to their list of 100 Greatest Women of Rock and Roll.
