Empowerment Advocate Nely Galan Keynotes Hispanic Women's Corp. Conference

After a lengthy career as an executive in entertainment, Nely Galan's mission centers around empowering women.  Last Friday, she got to deliver that message as the keynote speaker at the Hispanic Women's Corp. Professional & Leadership Institute. 

The conference was held from September 29-30 at the Phoenix Convention Center South.  Galan's presentation was at 11:30 on the opening day of the event. 

Tickets to attend were $175.  There was also a senior rate for $75 and a student admission fee for $65. 

Galan is the former President of Entertainment for Telemundo.  She was the first Latina to hold her position for any major U.S. network. 

As a producer, Galan worked on over 600 episodes of television and won an Emmy for her work.  One of her most notable shows that she produced was the Fox reality series, "The Swan".

Since 1994, Galan has owned her own media company, Galan Entertainment.  She recently released the book, "SELF MADE: Becoming Empowered, Self-Reliant, and Rich in Every Way".
