Extreme Makeover Host Ty Pennington Speaks at Realtors and Builders Awards

This month, The Woodlands and Bridgeland Realtor and Builder Awards scored a significant keynote speaker.  Popular home renovation television host Ty Pennington spoke to the assembled group on April 8th. 

The awards presentation was held at The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center.  Pennington talked about how he broke into TV and his unlikely route to the business altogether.

He also addressed the latest trends in home construction.  Pennington discussed the real estate business and what methods realtors have to employ as well.

Pennington hosted all nine seasons of ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition".  He jumped onto the TV scene as a carpenter on TLC's "Trading Spaces" from 2000-2003.  

Currently, Pennington hosts "American Diner Revival" on the Food Network.  He has created several home goods lines over the years, including his still-running furniture line with Howard Miller. 

Pennington has authored two books.  He contributes to many philanthropic causes like Sears' American Dream campaign.
