One of the most impactful technology entrepreneurs in recent memory is coming to Yale University this week.  Fitbit founder Eric Friedman is going to be on campus Friday to keynote the Yale Technology Summit.

During his appearance, Friedman will be interviewed by Kyle Vanderlick, Dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Science.  His speaking engagement begins at 11 a.m. in Evans Hall at the Yale School of Management.

This is the third annual summit held by the university.  It will run from 8:30 a.m to 3:30 p.m. and is free to attend.

Friedman co-founded Fitbit in 2007.  Since it has revolutionized personal fitness, allowing users to track their daily steps and other important goals.

Before starting Fitbit, Friedman also partnered with James Park in founding Wind-Up Labs.  That company created one of the first photo-sharing outlets, HeyPix.

Friedman previously was a founding engineer for Epesi Technologies and worked at Microsoft on their Real-Time Collaboration Group.  He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from Yale.
