Fresh off the publishing of his first book, Dr. James Noyes will lend his experience to a major conference.  Noyes is the opening keynote speaker for Icon16 on June 15th.

Icon16's theme is "Turn and Face the Change: Conservation in the 21st Century".  The title of Noyes' presentation is "Cultural Heritage in a Wobbly World: How Conservators have a Role in the Global Challenges of Today".

The conference runs through March 17th in Birmingham, United Kingdom at Aston University.  Ticket prices are $325 for members and $425 for non-members.

Noyes book, "The Politics of Iconoclasm", was released this year and it has been globally well-received.  The book delves further into the question of how cultural heritage holds up during times of conflict.

Currently, Noyes is a research associate at the think tank ResPublica and an honorary fellow at University College London. He has taught classes at the Paris Institute of Political Studies.

Noyes is from Norfolk, England.  He has a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge.
