Leading Environmentalist Michael Shellenberger Speaks at Intermountain Energy Summit

Earlier this month, energy experts flooded Idaho Falls, Idaho for the Intermountain Energy Summit.  One of those was top environmentalist Michael Shellenberger. 

The third annual two-day summit was held at Keefer's Island Convention Center.  It was headlined by the theme, "Innovations and Opportunities in Clean Energy".  

Shellenberger served as a keynote speaker on August 9th.  There were approximately 250 attendees at the event. 

Shellenberger is the co-founder of The Breakthrough Institute, a research organization devoted to energy and the environment.  He also serves as a Senior Fellow at the institute.  

In 2015, Shellenberger teamed with 18 ecomodernists to pen "An Ecomodernist Manifesto".  He has written several well-received books as well. 

Time has named Shellenberger a "Hero of the Environment" and they labeled his 2007 book "Break Through" "prescient".  For that work, he also won the Green Book Award.
