Masterchef Winner Claudia Sandoval Holds Detroit Book Signing

Fresh off a win on season six of Masterchef, Claudia Sandoval is one of the more popular celebrity chefs going these days.  On Friday, she made a stop in Detroit to appear at a well-attended book signing. 

Sandoval was at Pages Bookshop from 6-8 p.m. to sign copies of her new cookbook.  "Claudia's Cocina: A Taste of Mexico" shares authentic recipes from the Mazatlan region where her family originates from. 

The signing was free and open to the public.  Sandoval also has an upcoming signing scheduled for June 4th at Costco in Chula Vista, California. 

Claudia's Cocina recently became Amazon's number one book release.  She currently runs a culinary events company that shares the name of the book.

Last year, Sandoval won season six of the hit Fox series Masterchef.  She holds the series record for most pressure tests with five. 

Sandoval is passionate about helping the community, especially initiatives based in her hometown of San Diego.  She has been the president of the San Diego County Latino Association.
