Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella Keynotes Company Event in India

As one of the largest countries in the world, India has a huge emerging customer base for Microsoft.  This week, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella made a visit to the country.

Nadella also keynoted an event for Microsoft on Monday in addition to his meetings with several Indian leaders.  The title of his talk was "Tech for Good, Ideas for India".  

The presentation was attended by students, developers and entrepreneurs.  He spoke about some of the newest ventures that Microsoft is working on. 

Nadella has worked with Microsoft since 1992.  He assumed the role of CEO in 2014 after having leadership roles in the company's enterprise and consumer businesses.  

Immediately before being named CEO, Nadella was vice president of Microsoft's Cloud and Enterprise group.  He originally began his technology career at Sun Microsystems.  

Nadella holds a bachelor's degree from the Manipal Institute of Technology and master's degrees from the University of Wisconsin and the University of Chicago.  He currently resides in the Seattle area.
