Political Writer Radley Balko Keynotes Libertarian Party of Alabama Convention in March

The Libertarian Party of Alabama is hoping to provide their members with some insight on the current political climate this spring. Political writer Radley Balko will attempt to shed light on things as the keynote speaker at their State Convention.

The event takes place March 2-4 at the WIndCreek Hotel and Casino in Atmore. Balko is speaking at lunch during day one of the proceedings. 

There will also be an opening reception and awards dinner. Party business will also be conducted which includes the election of officers and the election of delegates. 

Balko blogs for The Washington Post about criminal justice, the drug war and civil liberties. He previously served as a senior writer and investigative reporter at the Huffington Post. 

Balko has also been a senior editor at Reason magazine and a columnist for FoxNews.com. He is a former policy analyst at the Cato Institute as well. 

Balko is the author of "Rise of the Warrior Cop: The Militarization of America's Polic Forces." He is a graduate of Indiana University.
