Pulitzer Prize-Winning Journalist Linda Greenhouse Gives Indiana University Commencement Address

Indiana University brought in a special individual to deliver winter commencement. Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Linda Greenhouse spoke to the graduates on Saturday. 

The 10 a.m. ceremony was held at Simon Skojdt Assembly Hall. Nearly 2,000 students were honored and a total of 2,015 degrees were handed out. 

There were also inductions made into the IU Alumni Association. The entire ceremony, including Greenhouse's presentation was streamed online. 

Greenhouse serves as the Knight Distinguished Journalist in Residence and the Joseph Goldestein Lecturer in Law at Yale Law School. She currently writes a bi-weekly column on law for The New York Times. 

From 1978-2008, Greenhouse covered the Supreme Court for The Times. During that tenure, she won the Pulitzer Prize for her work in 1998. 

Greenhouse has written several books, including her most recent work, "The Burger Court and the Rise of the Judicial Right." She is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
