One of the biggest starts in country music is set to make an appearance at the Country Music Hall of Fame during the week of the CMA Music Festival.  Singer Blake Shelton will be at the Hall on June 6th at 3 p.m.

Shelton will hold a discussion about his career and perform a short acoustic set.  His appearance is an extension of the May 27th opening of an exhibit at the Hall titled, "Blake Shelton: Based on a True Story".

The exhibit features items from Shelton's childhood and career.  The CMA Music Festival runs from June 9-12.

Shelton was a success from the start of his country career.  His lead single from his debut album "Austin" spent five weeks at the top of the Billboard country charts in 2001.

Overall, Shelton has had 21 number on singles.  He has been nominated for six Grammys and won three CMT Music Awards.

With his country career firmly cemented, Shelton reached an even new level of celebrity by latching on with one of the most popular shows on television.  Since season one, he has been a judge on the NBC hit "The Voice".
