Singer-Songwriter Kenny Loggins Makes Southern California Book Signing Appearances

Not many would have pegged singer-songwriter Kenny Loggins for children's author.  However, he does have a new book out that is a play off perhaps his most popular song. 

Loggins is making a few appearances in southern California to promote the release of "Footloose".  The first is at the Manhattan Beach Library on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. 

Loggins will sign copies of the book and sing some songs from the CD that is included in the book.  On Sunday, he will conduct a similar event in Pasadena at Vroman's Bookstore. 

The song Footloose was a number one hit for Loggins.  It was nominated for an Academy Award and won a Grammy for Song of the Year. 

Loggins career first gained traction as part of the "Loggins and Messina" group.  They released seven studio albums before he went out on his own as a solo artist. 

In addition to Footloose, Loggins recorded many other hit songs for movie soundtracks.  He has released 13 albums and four of them have gone platinum.
