Urban Studies Theorist Richard Florida Keynotes Ann Arbor SPARK Annual Meeting in April

Not many understand demographic trends and how they effect innovation better than Richard Florida. He will share some of those insights and more as the keynote speaker for SPARK Ann Arbor's annual meeting. 

The conference stands as the top event for regional business and community leaders. It will be held on January 24th at Eastern Michigan University's Student Center in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Florida is an award-winning author of "Rise of the Creative Class." He has been a senior editor at The Atlantic since 2011 and Editor-at-Large for CityLab. 

Florida serves as the director of the University of Toronto's Martin Prosperity Institute. In addition, he is is a Global Research Professor at New York University and a visiting fellow near his second home in Miami at Florida International University. 

In 2013, an MIT study recognized Florida as the most influential thought leader in the world. His Twitter account has been labeled one of the 140 most influential in the world by Time.
